The acting General Manager of Fiji TV, Poonam Nandani, has stated that this initiative is aimed at ensuring that enthusiasts are able to follow the tournament closely.
Nandani expressed gratitude towards Pasifika TV as PacificAus TV confirmed it has secured exclusive rights to air the 2023 Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship for all its partner broadcasters.
The championship is set to showcase 25 teams—comprising 15 men’s and 10 women’s teams from 14 countries across the region, with 18 teams vying for a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Participants will include teams from American Samoa, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, as well as representatives from Australia, New Zealand, and other Oceania nations.
The event is scheduled to be hosted at Ballymore Stadium in Brisbane from the 10th to the 12th of November.
